One of our favorite ways to eat leftovers is to make quesadillas.

If we have leftover meat of some kind — typically steak or chicken — we’ll slice it up, crank open a can of refried beans, saute some onions and peppers, sprinkle in some grated cheese, and construct some delicious bean-and-whatever-leftover-meat we have quesadillas.

Now, to be competely honest, we all eat quesadillas our own way. I like mine with salsa and sour cream. My husband, who prefers to save his calories for ice cream, skips the cheese. My two younger daughters prefer just beans and cheese. My oldest fills her tortilla with just meat.

We are each reinventing dinner.

What is in your refrigerator that you can reinvent and repurpose?

More important than that, what content have you created that you can reinvent, renew, and repurpose?

Today I’m introducing a new series of 12 Minute Tips designed to help you recycle, repurpose, reinvent, reuse, and reinvent your content.

This may be the next book in my e-book series, or it may be a bunch of blog posts. Either way, this series will help you take  the content you have and use it more effectively and efficiently.

Today’s Tip: Turn a Blog Post into a Series of Content-Rich Tweets

Set your timer for 12 minutes and choose a favorite blog post. Copy and paste sentences and phrases, questions and ideas from your blog post into a text or word document. Be sure each tweet is short enough to be retweeted (around 115 characters works well). Create as many tweets as you can, and if you have time, schedule them into your favorite tweet scheduling tool. Do me a favor? Don’t include a link; only include the content. Show your value, ideas, and perspective purely through the content without expecting people to click through to your website. Add these new tweets to a library of content that you rotate regularly.

Tell me something! How do you repurpose your content? How do you reinvent dinner? How many tweets did you create during your 12 minutes?
