It poured rain for a few hours but now the rain has turned to snow.

Earlier, I watch a pine branch crack and fall, and the branches outside my window are heavy, heavy with this winter snow and ice.

Those branches — they are heavy, but my heart, my heart is light — the day has been busy, as always, but busy in a purposeful, directed way. Here I am again, getting to do what I love with people I enjoy.

And there is this blog post from Ian Shea, with kind words about how I helped him find his social media voice.

And a note in my Facebook inbox, from a friend and blogger who received his copy of Leadership and the Art of Struggle at a time that receiving an unexpected book and gift brought encouragement to him. Yes, friend, we all struggle!

There is progress toward building a stronger business. There is the chance to help a friend in need; there is a new hardwood floor being installed in my family room.

There is a mocha on my desk.

There is homemade chili simmering in the crockpot.

There is a stack of notes from my daughter’s kindergarten class, words and pictures, thank yous for the ice cream I sent in for their Valentine’s Day party.

There is encouragement. There is purposeful work. There is bounty and blessing.

There is love.

There is love.
