Public Relations for Authors
Break Through the Noise
Public relations is more important than ever to break through the noise, drive your brand presence, increase your book visibility, and propel your momentum.
Weaving Influence brings extensive public relations expertise and a breadth of well-established media relationships, while leveraging four powerful databases to elevate your book marketing. We partner with you to develop a tailored strategy designed to secure targeted media placements and elevate awareness of your book and message. Our clients have been featured in many high-profile outlets such as Forbes, Inc., Entrepreneur, NPR, USA Today and Huffington Post—leading to speaking engagements, career opportunities, and high-level networking that amplifies their impact.
The process of 'earning media' can be tough and discouraging, but with our years of experience connecting leadership authors to the right outlets, we make it happen. We’re a tenacious team that believes in your message—and we work personally to match you with media who will too.
Our approach to public relations focuses on four key steps:
Step 1: Plan
We craft a comprehensive Media Strategy that defines your mission and provides you with suggested brand positioning and a detailed book overview for the press, key messages for interviews, credentials, and more.
Step 2: Develop
We create a compelling press kit that positions you and your book in the strongest possible light, ensuring maximum media appeal. Based on our contacts, tools and research, we build targeted media lists for your book.
Step 3: Execute
Our seasoned team conducts targeted, customized media outreach to more than 100 print and online media outlets, bloggers, and podcasters. We also execute a launch press release to drive visibility.
Step 4: Optimize
We continuously refine pitches and messaging to align with evolving market trends, ensuring the greatest possible media impact.
From Visibility to Influence—Our PR Results Deliver

Yosi Amram, Ph.D., an executive coach and psychologist who previously served as CEO, came to Weaving Influence wanting to not only promote his book, Spiritually Intelligent Leadership, but to educate the market on how spiritual intelligence is one of the intelligence types, just like emotional intelligence. Over a period of 14 months, the Weaving Influence PR team secured more than 65 media wins, including ongoing visibility opportunities in Psychology Today, as well as more than 50 top-ranked podcasts worldwide.
Leadership and culture competence visionary, nationally recognized speaker, and best-selling author Sara Taylor came to Weaving Influence as a previous author with media relations expertise. We worked closely with Sara on promoting her latest book, Thinking at the Speed of Bias: How to Shift Our Unconscious Filters, and our timely angles secured more than 40 opportunities over 7 months that generated strong visibility for Sara and her thought leadership. These included a national interview that ran on more than 800 local public radio stations, coverage in Forbes magazine, and even a local TV station that gave her visibility in her hometown of Minneapolis.
As the Chief Medical Director of Employee Health and Well-being at Johns Hopkins Medicine, Dr. Richard Safeer had limited media exposure. He came to Weaving Influence seeking to drive visibility for his first book. Over a period of three months, Weaving Influence secured more than 25 media wins, reaching millions of readers and listeners. The public relations launch of his book helped spread his message to millions.
We’ll extend the reach of your book and thought leadership brand by securing valuable media exposure through articles, blog post opportunities, podcast opportunities, and other media placements.
