I’m not super comfortable with video, which inspires me to make a commitment to film and share more.
Even so, with the registration deadline to the 2013 Berrett-Koehler Book Marketing event fast approaching, I wanted to film and share a quick book promo tip via video and an invitation through video. You’ll sign up, right?
Bonus: in this video, I also reveal my new haircut. (Not sure I love it, but…)
Here goes…
Tell me something! Are you comfortable filming/posting video? What advice do you have for me about how to get more comfortable on camera?

I am the founder/CEO of the Weaving Influence team, the author of Reach: Creating the Biggest Possible Audience for Your Message, Book, or Cause, and the host of the Book Marketing Action Podcast. I’m a wife and mom of three kids, and I enjoy running, reading, writing, coffee, and dark chocolate.
HI, Becky
Sounds like a great conference and your message is spot on for that group.
The networking alone would be worth the trip. I strongly feel that people with common interests gathered in one location make for tremendous energy.
I’d be there if I were not teaching two classes and starting another one on that specific Saturday morning. Some of my best friends live in Atlanta and surrounding area:)
John
Thanks, John! Wish you could make it! Perhaps you can plan for next year?
Becky, how cool! I’d love to talk to you more about it….I’ll send you an email.
Great job, and I LOVE your new hairdo (though actually didn’t see the one before..but at any rate, very cute). I would say that perhaps looking not always in the same place might be better but maybe it’s better not to shift angles. Nice points: sincerity conveyed, very clear enunciation. I appreciated the tip about following other authors, seeing how THEY do it.
Thank you, Elaine. My old hair is everywhere… on the home page, on Twitter 🙂
Cute haircut. You look super professional in your video. Enjoy Atlanta.
Cheers,
David
Thanks, David! Looking forward to the event!
