Do you have a Google+ profile?
If not, you may want to consider a Google+ experiment. Try it out. Look around. See what you think.
If you have been using Google+ for several months, as I have, I want to encourage you to take 12 minutes, today, to revisit your profile.
I joined G+ in July, during the first weeks of the beta. In those 5 months, plenty has changed in my life and business. I know — even without clicking over to my profile — that I need to update it.
See? There is no mention here of this website, of my other Twitter account (@12MinuteSMP), no link to my LinkedIn profile, no links to my Facebook pages, and no branding around this business. I am missing the opportunity to help new connections get a clear picture of who I and what value I offer.
So, the tip I offer to you today is (another) one that I need to complete myself.
Today’s Tip: Complete Your Google+ Profile
Set your timer for 12 minutes and review and update your Google+ profile. Make sure you include links to all your other social media accounts and websites. Be sure your branding reflects your current activities. If you don’ have a Google+ profile yet, use this time to start. If you need instructions, download my Social Media Quick Start Guide. Don’t forget to add me to your circles.
